A match for the AEW World Championship has now been made official for the upcoming AEW WrestleDream pay-per-view event.

At AEW All In, Hangman Adam Page captured the AEW World Championship from Jon Moxley and the Death Riders in the main event, with help from a number of AEW’s top babyfaces.

Among those names were the Opps and Samoa Joe, who had been feuding with the Death Riders for a number of months prior to All In.

After coming to the aid of Joe and Powerhouse Hobbs last week, Page teamed with them against the Death Riders on tonight’s show, with Page scoring the victory in the match.

After the match, Page handed Joe his AEW Trios Championship, which Joe dropped on the floor, leading to he and Hangman getting into a tense shouting match, being pulled apart by security.

When he was pulled away, Joe told Page that he “didn’t beat him” for the title, eyeing up a title match for the AEW World Championship.

Backstage, Hangman said that he looks up to Joe, and that he will give him a shot at the title at WrestleDream.
