AEW World Championship Number One Contender Crowned In Chaotic Battle Royal AEW

The main event of the AEW Grand Slam special episode of Dynamite saw the crowning of the new AEW World Champion, when Jon Moxley and Bryan Danielson battled it out for the vacant title, with Moxley becoming the first ever three time AEW World Champion.

Despite MJF holding the chip that entitles him to a title match, another contender was to be crowned in a battle royal on tonight’s AEW Rampage.

The match saw Paul Wight on commentary, and featured many AEW stars, as well as former Ring of Honor World Champion Dalton Castle.

The match began with a wild brawl between all the competitors on the outside of the ring, before eventually the match began, with everyone from Ari Daivari to Brian Cage being eliminated.

The final four in the match were Jay Lethal, Penta El Zero Miedo, Hangman Adam Page and Rush, with Page last eliminating Rush to earn the shot at Jon Moxley in Cincinnati.
