AEW Star To Appear In Pro-Wrestling Themed Horror Movie AEW

Chris Jericho’s next movie project has been revealed, with the AEW star working on a action horror movie about pro-wrestling.

Following Jericho making a cameo appearance in Terrifier 2, and being featured in Terrifier 3, the wrestling veteran will make his horror movie return in Dark Match.

This movie – about a small-time wrestling promotion holding shows in a mysterious town – has now been acquired by the Shudder streaming service. Dark Match will release on the platform on January 31, 2025.

Shudder has acquired the US, UKI, and ANZ rights to DARK MATCH, written and directed by Lowell Dean and starring wrestling superstar Chris Jericho (TERRIFIER 2), Ayisha Issa (TRANSPLANT), Steven Ogg (THE WALKING DEAD, WESTWORLD), Sara Canning (THE VAMPIRE DIARIES), Michael Eklund (THE CALL) and Jonathan Cherry (GOON).
