AEW Star Defends WWE Champion Cody Rhodes Following Honest AEW Comments

AEW’s QT Marshall has defended Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes following backlash to his recent comments about AEW.

As Cody Rhodes was one of the founding EVPs of AEW, many fans were surprised by the American Nightmare’s decision to leave AEW to join WWE in early 2022.

Cody Rhodes recently shared his honest thoughts on his AEW stint while speaking on Insight with Chris Van Vliet.

At one point in the interview, he addressed the negative perception some had over his involvement in the promotion’s early days. You can read Rhodes’ comments right here.

QT Marshall has now responded to a message on Twitter wishing him happy birthday, and telling him:

Tell your best friend to keep his mouth shut when it comes to #AEW 

Marshall argued that Cody Rhodes has been keeping his responses classy, writing:

Tell people to stop asking him about it. If you can’t handle his responses, don’t ask the questions. The responses he gives are some the most politically correct responses.

He’s sitting on top of the opposition, and still keeps his responses classy.

Rhodes and Marshall own and operate the Nightmare Factory training school together.
