AEW Champion Reacts To WWE Star’s Homage On Raw

AEW Tag Team Champion Dax Harwood has now reacted to Bayley’s homage to FTR on Monday Night Raw.

On the April 24 show, Bayley, IYO SKY and Dakota Kai faced off against Bianca Belair, Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez in six-woman tag-team action.

During the bout, while she wasn’t the legal woman, Bayley fell into the ring in what at first appeared to be a mistake, but was actually a ploy to distract the referee while her teammates took advantage.

After a fan pointed this out on Twitter, Bayley credited FTR for the spot, replying:

Let’s just say that I’m a tag team specialist who studies the likes of FTR. I love you @DaxFTR @CashWheelerFTR

Harwood then replied with a clip of Wheeler performing the same maneuver at NXT TakeOver Brooklyn II in 2016, during FTR’s bout against Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa.

He captioned the video:

The trick ultimately wasn’t enough to give Damage CTRL the win, with Bianca Belair pinning Bayley following a KOD to score the victory for her team.

At the May 6 WWE Backlash premium live event, IYO SKY will challenge for Bianca Belair’s Raw Women’s Championship.
