AEW & WWE Stars React To Twitter Eliminating Legacy Blue Check Marks WWE/AEW/AP

Stars from AEW & WWE have commented about the controversial change sweeping through Twitter earlier today (April 20).

If you care about Twitter, today might be an important day for you as the social media app has discontinued use of blue check marks to signify an account had been verified.

In case you didn’t know, Elon Musk bought Twitter and has made a variety of changes that don’t seem particularly popular with users but none of which have drawn the ire quite like today’s mass deletion of the verified blue check marks.

Previously verified by Twitter employees through application process, it was dubious whether or not the person with the checkmark had actual notoriety, it did mean they were vetted as a real human.

However, those days are long gone as since anyone with a legacy verified Twitter account who elected not to subscribe to Twitter Blue for eight bucks last lost their checkmark.

And the wrestling world has thoughts!

AEW star Danhausen wrote:

“Danhausen is no longer famously verified thanks to the suckiest suck that ever sucked, that menace Elron Munks.

“Danhausen will now begin donating 8 human dollars a month to the sewer.

Renee Paquette said:

“Go to hell blue check mark. Respectfully.”

WWE star Sheamus wrote:

“No Blue Check Mark after No Blue Check Mark after No Blue Check Mark after No Blue Check Mark after No Blue Check Mark after No Blue Check Mark after No Blue Check Mark after No Blue Check Mark after No Blue Check Mark after No Blue Check Mark after No Blue Check Mark.”

With several stars also pointing out to fans what their legitimate social media handles are out of concern for potential chaos.

Adding to the growing list of WWE stars urging fans to please not engage with anyone claiming to be an account other than the official handles they shared were Nikki Cross, Dakota Kai with the latter writing:

“The only social media I run is this account,
@char1ie_gir1
, charliegirl (twitch), @/ imkingkota (insta) and @/ char1iegir1 (tik tok).

“I don’t have any“private” accounts. I will never and have never asked for money or anything of the sort. They are scammers, please be weary 🤍”

Someone who already has trouble with being impersonated online, Alexa Bliss, has already reacted to the change. You can read more about that by clicking this link.
