AEW star Saraya has revealed that she previously wanted to work with Paul Heyman while with WWE.
The former ‘Paige’ notably wrestled for WWE from 2012 to 2017, before stepping away from the ring in 2018, ahead of her 2022 departure.
Speaking on Superstar Crossover, Saraya revealed that she at one point told a notable WWE name that she wanted him as a manager.
Noting that she’s a big fan of Paul Heyman, Saraya noted:
“I wanted to be a ‘Paul Heyman girl’ so bad. Everyone wanted to be a ‘Paul Heyman girl,’ and I even said to him that I wanted to be a ‘Paul Heyman girl.’
“I was in his book — he put me in his book, and I was like, ‘Oh my god, I love you.'”
Saraya is currently aligned with Toni Storm and Ruby Soho in their Outcasts stable, with Soho turning heel and joining the group at AEW Revolution.
The former WWE Diva’s Champion recently revealed that the trio dropped many teases that Soho was going to turn, which you can read more about right here.
