AEW EVPs Matt & Nick Jackson of the Young Bucks appear to have teased a move to WWE once again, ahead of the AEW contracts expiring.
Matt & Nick Jackson’s current contracts are reportedly set to expire at the end of 2023.
The duo seemingly confirmed this with a previous Twitter bio which read:
Less than a year left. Where does the time go?
The Young Bucks’ latest Twitter bio has fuelled speculation about a potential AEW departure, with the duo noting:
It was all a dream.
Many fans believe that this is a reference to a Being The Elite episode from July 2016 titled ‘Was It All A Dream?!’
In the episode, Matt Jackson had a ‘nightmare’ that he worked for WWE as an extra, which he did for two SmackDown tapings in 2008.
Fightful reported in January that Matt & Nick Jackson have been in discussions with AEW about new contracts, however no new deals have been publicly announced at the time of writing.
The Young Bucks and Kenny Omega are currently the AEW Trios Champions, after winning a Best of Seven series against Death Triangle to walk away with the gold on the January 11 edition of Dynamite.
We will continue to provide updates on the Young Bucks’ contract statuses as they become available.
