Young Bucks Name Two Stars Who There Wouldn’t Be An AEW Without AEW

The Young Bucks have named two pivotal stars that have helped grow the company’s success since its creation in 2019.

Matt & Nick Jackson founded AEW in 2019 along with Tony Khan, Kenny Omega and Cody Rhodes, continuing to serve as executive vice presidents.

Having been part of AEW since its inception, the pair recently reflected on the company roster, with Nick naming two stars as pivotal to its success.

Speaking on a recent episode of AEW Close Up, Nick Jackson named Chris Jericho and Jon Moxley as stars the company couldn’t exist without, stating:

“You don’t have an AEW without a Chris Jericho, without a Jon Moxley.

“Like those two were the biggest pivotal superstars that we had to try and grow this place and immediately feel like a major company, and I feel like those two don’t get enough credit for what they have done for this place.”

Jericho would debut with AEW at the company’s launch event in January 2019, signing a contract with the company shortly thereafter.

Having left WWE when his contract expired on April 30 2019, the former Dean Ambrose would debut in AEW as Jon Moxley at Double or Nothing in May of that year.

Nick Jackson would go on to talk about the current makeup of the AEW roster, praising it for the talent and in-ring ability, saying:

“It’s crazy to think like the roster we have currently now, I would put it against any roster in wrestling history talent-wise.

“In-ring performance-wise, I feel like we are number one, so it’s hard to even get better than what we are now, but I feel like the younger guys that are like on the lower card can get up to that main event status working with the veterans that we have here.”

Matt Jackson would single out specific members of the roster for praise, going on to name Kyle Fletcher, Konosuke Takeshita, Top Flight and Bandido among the younger standout stars.

He would also state that he was happy to see Scorpio Sky return to AEW, having been absent for nearly two years.
