AEW EVPs the Young Bucks have revealed that they’d make an offer if a notable independent promotion was for sale.
Like many US-based independent wrestling veterans, Matthew and Nicholas Jackson had memorable runs with PWG, with both stars competing for the promotion over 100 times each from 2007 to 2018.
With PWG not running a show since 2023, Matthew Jackson has revealed that he and Nicholas would be interested in making an offer to buy the promotion.
Speaking in a live Q&A session on YouTube, Matt Jackson commented on the duo potentially running their own indie promotion, noting:
“Me and Nick have talked about a lot of things. We’ve talked about buying PWG. Starting our own indie. A wrestling school. In the next few years, if we’re going to do something, it’ll probably happen in the next few years.”
Matthew later clarified:
“Let me clarify, I don’t know if PWG is for sale. If it was for sale, I would make an offer.”
PWG’s most recent show, PWG TWENTY: Mystery Vortex, took place on August 13, 2023, and saw Daniel Garcia defeat Mike Bailey in an 60-minute Ironman match for the PWG World Championship in the main event.
PWG owner Super Dragon announced an indefinite hiatus for the promotion so he could focus on caring for his girlfriend through her health issues.
