Having lost the AEW World Tag Team Championships to Private Party last month , The Young Bucks continue to work from home.
The EVPs may not have competed since the October 30 episode of AEW Dynamite, but that doesn’t mean they don’t have gold in mind.
Recently, a video appeared on the NJPW Twitter account with Matthew and Nicholas Jackson declaring their interest in recapturing the IWGP Tag Team Championship.
The former IWGP Tag Team Champions want that match at Wrestle Dynasty on January 5, 2025, as can be seen in the video below this news story.
Speaking from poolside, the camera person interrupts a business call in progress before the EVPs notice him with Nicholas noting they’ve been:
“Working at home, safe and sound, away from all the danger here at the AEW International Department.”
Matthew would go on to reflect on their current work arrangements revealing that they are:
“Exhausted and tired of working from home, which is why we’ve decided to come back to Japan on January 5.”
Nicholas would then reveal their plans for Wrestle Dynasty, saying:
“There’s one thing that Matthew and Nicholas need to accomplish before we retire, and that’s to get the IWGP Heavyweight Titles back around our waist one more time.”
Matthew would chip in with a message for fans at the Tokyo Dome for the upcoming event, saying:
“Tokyo, your rich God-fearing uncles are coming back. See you soon.”
