It was reported last night that a number of performers for All Elite Wrestling had tested positive for COVID-19. This stemmed from Lance Archer’s announcement that he had contracted the virus, causing him to miss Dynamite. Now, we know AEW hopeful Ben Carter has also tested positive.
Carter’s name had been trending on Twitter this week for all the right reasons. His match with Scorpio Sky on Late Night Dynamite got people talking about him in a very positive way. However, he revealed he had tested positive in a statement released on Twitter earlier today.

“Man. You literally can’t write it. After this Tuesday I was on an all time high…and to be honest, I kinda still am. The outpouring of support recently has been utterly mind blowing and I can’t thank everyone enough.
Having said that, I had some really cool things lined up in the coming weeks that I now have to back out of. All of which really stings.
But hey, I feel fine. I guess I don’t really taste my food as much as I normally do, but I feel fine. For now anyways.
Cheers again for all the love that’s been shown. I’m truly living my American Dream.”
Carter is not currently contracted to any one wrestling company. While he has certainly impressed fans with his matches in AEW, he has yet to be signed. He has also wrestled for promotions such as GCW and Warrior Wrestling.
From all of us here at WrestleTalk, we wish Ben a speedy recovery.
