AEW’s Nyla Rose Nominated For Outsports Female Athlete Of The Year

Former All Elite Wrestling (AEW) Women’s World Champion Nyla Rose was nominated in the Outsports ‘Female Athlete of the Year’ awards.

For those who don’t know, Outsports specialises in covering LGBTQ sports news.

Outsports writes:

Nyla Rose — In February, Rose won the AEW Women’s World Championship, becoming the first trans woman to win a world title in a major U.S. wrestling promotion. She successfully defended her title before losing it to Hikaru Shida in the spring.

Basketball player Sue Bird was also nominated, but the main award went to triple jumper Yulimar Rojas.
