It turns out there was a very interesting name spotted at AEW Double Or Nothing, that being April Mendez, the former AJ Lee.
Of course, Mendez is the wife of CM Punk, and it’s very likely she was just backstage to say hello to everyone and to be there for his AEW World Championship win.
However, if you do want to get yourself more excited than you probably should, she did recently, kind of, maybe, tease an in-ring return.
Mendez has been involved with the relaunch of the WOW promotion in recent months, but not as a wrestler.
Punk will have his first match since winning the title on tonight’s AEW Dynamite, as he teams with FTR, who celebrated in the ring with him after his win, to take on Max Caster and Austin & Colten Gunn.
