AJ Lee has opened up on taking part in a War Games match at WWE Survivor Series in her second match back in the company.
On last week’s episode of SmackDown, AJ Lee was revealed as the final member of the Women’s War Games match at Survivor Series, joining Rhea Ripley, IYO SKY, Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss.
Speaking on What’s Your Story? with Stephanie McMahon, AJ opened up on taking part in an upcoming WarGames match.
She said:
“Yes, so I figured because I was in a generation where we got like seven minutes max I thought I would just jump into the deep end and do 30 minute matches and fucking WarGames cage matches. Gonna ease back into things.
“There was this world in which it was just a one and done, where it was just like ‘come back and have fun and see how you feel’. And that’s been a big thing too, because I never wanted to feel how I felt mentally, my last year (in WWE) was very hard for me, so I have been a little trepidatious in what I’m committing too and what I can handle.
“Part of the appeal in ‘ok let’s keep doing this’ is that group of women. I’m a fan of all of them, I’ll be so happy to just be surrounded by them and get to work with them, to just kind of like hang out with them in that type of way, (of) ok trust this group. I give great credit to the women they make it very appealing.”
