AJ Lee has praised the ongoing storyline with Asuka, Kairi Sane and IYO SKY on WWE Raw, saying she’s ‘unhealthily invested’.

The storyline between Asuka, IYO SKY and Kairi Sane really began taking shape back in September, when Asuka continued to manipulate Kairi against IYO after IYO had formed her new friendship with Rhea Ripley.

IYO and Rhea, as RHIYO, would go on to defeat the Kabuki Warriors for the Women’s Tag Team Championship back on the January 5 episode of Raw, though issues have persisted since.

IYO has continued to attempt to free Kairi from Asuka’s control, which led to Asuka officially calling out IYO to a match on this week’s WWE Raw show.

AJ Lee Shares ‘Unhealthy Investment’ In WWE Storyline

Responding to Asuka’s video package on social media today, Women’s Intercontinental Champion AJ Lee praised the ongoing storyline between the three women, saying she’s been ‘fangirling for months’.

She wrote:

been fangirling for @WWEAsuka @KAIRI_official @Iyo_SkyWWE for months and I am unhealthily invested in this now.

As it currently stands, all three women are not yet set to compete at WrestleMania 42, though a match between IYO and Asuka is reportedly still planned for the show despite not yet being announced.

AJ Lee herself is set to compete in her first WrestleMania event in 11 years next weekend, facing her long time rival Becky Lynch for the Women’s Intercontinental Championship.

Should IYO SKY vs. Asuka Be Added To The WrestleMania 42 Card?

At last year’s WrestleMania event, which also took place in Las Vegas’ Allegiant Stadium, IYO SKY was part of what was by many considered to be the best match on the entire show, defeating Rhea Ripley and Bianca Belair in a three-way match to kick off night two of the event.

IYO would also go on to have another classic match with Rhea Ripley at Evolution in July, as well as remain one of the most over stars on the Raw brand for the run up to WrestleMania.

Asuka was not featured on last year’s WrestleMania card due to injury, so it would not make sense to also leave her off this year’s show if she is cleared and good to wrestle.

With 7 matches set for night one and only 6 for night two, WWE should definitely book the match between IYO and Asuka for the show as a potential late show stealer.
