A WWE Hall of Famer has reflected her personal feud with AJ Lee while discussing Tiffany Stratton and Charlotte Flair’s WrestleMania 41 rivalry.
The run-up to their match at WrestleMania 41 saw Flair and Stratton engage in a reportedly “off-script” promo on WWE SmackDown, making personal comments.
During a recent episode of the Nikki and Brie Show, Nikki Bella revealed that she and AJ Lee had engaged in similar practices during their feud.
Revealing how comments were made, but Nikki Bella didn’t take them personally, the WWE Hall of Famer stated:
“I’m not going to lie, AJ Lee and I did that quite a bit. We said stuff to each other on the mic that neither of us saw coming.
“I felt though that it made things very personal, but it kept us in a story longer because it made people more invested, and she and I never took it personally.
“I mean, would we both probably be bothered backstage? 100%, but we actually kept it very professional, I do have to say, and I think that’s why AJ and I made magic.”

AJ Lee last wrestled in March 2015, teaming with Naomi and Paige against Natalya & The Bella Twins.
After their WrestleMania 41 match, it was revealed that Tiffany Stratton and Charlotte Flair had had a backstage conversation.
According to Stratton, Charlotte Flair stated she was “proud” of the WWE Women’s Champion.
With Nikki Bella having participated in the women’s Royal Rumble match in January 2025, the pair have recently addressed a possible WWE return.
Speaking during an appearance on Busted Open Radio, Brie Bella said she was “not going to hold (her) breath” when it comes to a call from WWE.
