AJ Styles Confirms Injury Is ‘Nothing Serious’

Last night before Raw, AJ Styles was booked in a fatal-four-way elimination match with Braun Strowman, Bobby Lashley and The Miz. However, he was sidelined with an injury later on in the show, and replaced by Baron Corbin, who ultimately won the match. Corbin will now go on to WWE Super ShowDown to face Seth Rollins for the Universal Championship.

It was later reported that the injury was legitimate, with Styles genuinely being ‘banged up‘. It was not known how serious the injury was, or how long the former WWE Champion would be out for.

On his Mixer account, Styles has commented on his injury and said it is “nothing major”. He added that the issue was with his AC joint, and while it was initially believed that he had a fracture, it now seems as if he just needs a shot to reduce some swelling in the area. He says he won’t be out for long and that WWE is doing everything in their power to make sure he is back fit and ready before too long.

All good news.
