AJ Styles Responds To Claim Regarding His Long-Term In-Ring Future WWE

The Phenomenal AJ Styles has responded to a Twitter user’s claim regarding his long-term future inside the ring following an impressive feat of athleticism on the August 11 SmackDown.

The 46-year-old former two-time WWE Champion has been open about his retirement in the past, with his time as a full-time performer likely winding down.

Despite this, you would be forgiven for thinking Styles hasn’t aged at all in the last two decades with much of his in-ring offence as silky smooth as it always has been.

A particular example of this came on the August 11 edition of SmackDown where Styles hit a seamless springboard 450 splash on his opponent Karrion Kross.

This moment was posted by a Twitter user with the caption marvelling at the veteran’s execution while also stating that Styles could continue hitting the move until he’s 60 years-old.

This led to Styles responding, retweeting the clip and clearly shooing away the suggestion he will be still competing at the age of 60.

Styles said, along with a screenshot of a Twitter “community note” which is often used to correct statements on the platform:

This is completely false. AJ Styles could not wrestle till he was 60.

With Styles’ feud with Kross seemingly over, both he and The OC (Michin, Karl Anderson & Luke Gallows) will likely be moving on to different things.

A member of The OC recently revealed their hesitation at new additions joining their ranks, click here to read more.
