It’s difficult to know whether the releases of both Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson were shocking, given the tag team’s past hints at wanting to leave the company.
Gallows and Anderson were two of the 20 main roster stars to be released on “Black Wednesday”, and former O.C stablemate and close friend AJ Styles has now given his thoughts on their releases.
Discussing the releases on a live stream, Styles said:
“That one hurt really bad. The only way I can explain it is that these guys are my family and I couldn’t take care of my little brothers. I didn’t manage to do that and I feel responsible for them being released. It’s devastating.”

The rumour currently going around is that WWE is far from done with releasing wrestlers, and that a new wave of future endeavours could be coming at any moment.
It has been a desperately sad week for a lot of people involved with pro-wrestling, and we can only hope that those who have lost their jobs are able to find good and steady work as soon as possible.
