AJ Styles reacts to his WWE 2K19 rating

Who is better than ‘the Phenomenal One?’ Multiple people, evidently.

Recently, AJ Styles gave an interview to GiveMeSport where he discussed the WWE 2K19 rankings. In WWE’s latest game the current WWE Champion is given a ranking of 91. Quite respectable.

When Styles was informed that four other wrestlers rank higher than he does, it did not sit well with the ‘Champ that runs the camp.’ Styles, himself an avid gamer, could not wrap his head around the fact that part-timers Brock Lesnar and The Rock, and the many-years-retired Stone Cold Steve Austin, were all given higher scores.

His reactions were deadpan and entertaining, especially when he spits his gum out after learning that Roman Reigns ranks higher than him. However, even in jest, he said a few things worth thinking about. On The Rock, Styles reminded us:

“He tore an ab the last time he wrestled! Come on, man. I’m not saying he’s not jacked. I’m just saying you gotta be in ring shape. Which Rock are we going with here? ‘Maybe Rock will get us into Hollywood.’ That’s what some 2K programmer’s thinking.”

When confronted with the news that new Universal Champion Roman Reigns was given a higher rank, Styles said:

“I’ve been champion for a while now. Doesn’t that count for anything? I guess at least I’m a 91, right?”

AJ Styles appears on the cover of WWE 2K19. The game is set for release in early October.
