AJ Styles Captures Victory With Insane Finish During Raw’s Opener

The opening match of tonight’s (August 1) episode of Monday Night Raw saw three of Raw’s best duke it out for a shot at the United States Championship.

After airing a hype video about the history of the championship, the opening match of Raw saw AJ Styles, The Miz and Mustafa Ali in a Triple Threat match to earn a shot at the title.

The finish saw AJ catch Ali after he hit a 450 Splash on The Miz into a Styles Clash, pinning him to score the win.

AJ will now face the winner of the Ciampa vs Chad Gable vs Dolph Ziggler match later in the night, with the winner earning the shot at Bobby Lashley.
