Former WWE Champion AJ Styles has teased a match against a WWE ID prospect who named the WWE Raw star as his dream opponent.
One WWE prospect who has been establishing himself on NXT TV is Sean Legacy, who made his television debut in May.
With it appearing like the sky’s the limit for Legacy, the WWE Independent Development name has now expressed interest in facing AJ Styles.
Speaking with The Wrestling Classic, Legacy noted the following when asked what his dream match is:
“Dude, AJ Styles. AJ Styles in a heartbeat, man. Listen dude, he’s from Georgia, I’m from Georgia. He’s a (Georgia) Bulldogs fan, I’m a Bulldogs fan.
“I do some similar stuff, he does similar stuff. I don’t care how long the match is, I would love to wrestle AJ Styles.
“AJ Styles, step in the ring man, ’cause I’m gonna show you how Legacy will always be super… God, I hope he sees that.”

AJ Styles did, in fact, see this, resharing a clip from this interview on Twitter.
Appearing to tease this match-up, Styles simply responded:
Bet!
Legacy made his WWE NXT debut on the May 6 episode, competing in the NXT Championship #1 contender’s battle royal.
He most recently wrestled for the developmental brand on the June 3 show, teaming with Dragon Lee, Je’Von Evans and Laredo Kid against Brad Baylor, Jackson Drake & Ricky Smokes of The Vanity Project, and Ethan Page.
