Alan Angels To Face Top NJPW Star At Fighting Spirit Unleashed Taping

Alan Angels will face off against IWGP Jr Heavyweight Champion Taiji Ishimori at the August 21 NJPW STRONG: Fighting Spirit Unleashed taping.

The bout has been advertised as a non-title match.

Angels made his NJPW debut during the June 19 Ignition taping, representing the Dark Order with Evil Uno, while he was still with AEW. Angels’ AEW contract expired on June 30.

AEW names Aaron Solo and Peter Avalon will also be in action at the Fighting Spirit Unleashed taping.

Here is the current lineup for the event:

• Alan Angels vs. Taiji Ishimori
