Not one to shy away from controversy or, well, pretty much anything, it looks like Alberto El Patron (Del Rio) has found himself in another spot of bother.
Pro Wrestling Sheet has reported that El Patron is currently facing a lawsuit which stems from an alleged incident at a karaoke club in November 2016. The plaintiff, Alex Pardo, claimed in his suit that Alberto flashed his bottom in a karaoke club.
Pardo also claimed a fight broke out and Alberto and friends of his started assaulting him, who allegedly needed medical attention, and was ultimately taken to hospital.
El Patron, real name Alberto Rodriguez, responded with claims that Pardo threw a glass at his head, which caused multiple lacerations, and that this was why a big brawl started.
Having been hit over the head by the glass, Alberto says he fell to the ground, and when he got back up, he was attacked again by Pardo and protected himself by responding to the fight.
Alberto claimed he needed medical attention for the cuts and for a concussion. Del Rio is asking for $5,000 for pain and suffering as well as for his legal fees to be paid.
Honestly, if I were a relatively well known TV personality, I would just stay away from bars and clubs. There’s just so much risk of something like this going down.
If Alberto loses the lawsuit, it could be another blot on his already tarnished record.
Is Del Rio someone you want to see back in WWE? Or does his interesting record of extra-curricular activities dissuade you? Let us know in the comments and on Twitter.
