Aleister Black WWE Return Date Revealed

The WWE in-ring return date of Aleister Black has reportedly been revealed, with Black’s return teased ahead of WrestleMania 41.

Following previous hints that the former AEW star could soon be WWE-bound, An update on the Black’s status seemingly emerged on the March 14 SmackDown episode.

A mysterious vignette aired during this show, which fuelled rumors that we will soon see the former ‘Malakai Black’ on WWE TV.

A new report has emerged on plans for Black’s return, with Cory Hays of PWNexus confirming that this vignette was indeed for Black’s return.

Per Hays (via Fightful Select), Black is expected to appear on the SmackDown following WrestleMania 41.

The April 25 edition of SmackDown will emanate from the Dickies Arena in Fort Worth, Texas. WWE Champion Cody Rhodes, John Cena, Bianca Belair, Solo Sikoa, Kevin Owens and US Champion LA Knight are currently advertised for this taping on WWE.com.

Black last wrestled for WWE on the October 12, 2020 Raw episode, losing to Kevin Owens in a No Disqualifications match. While he did appear on SmackDown in May 2021 to cost Big E the Intercontinental Championship, he was released by the company that June before he could have another match.

He made his AEW debut the following month, where he wrestled as Malakai Black. He officially departed AEW this past February, following his contract with the company expiring.
