Alex Reynolds Says AEW Doctors Did “Fantastic Job” Dealing With His Injury

Last week, many fans were rather unhappy on social media with how the AEW medical team, referee and in-ing wrestlers dealt with Alex Reynolds’ clear injury during Dynamite’s tag team main event.

For those that don’t know, Alex Reynolds was seemingly knocked out during last week’s episode of Dynamite. Instead of checking on him, the referee let the action continue and the other wrestlers involved in the match just walked over him.

However, during a Virtual Meet & Greet with Pro Wrestling Junkies, Alex Reynolds said that he actually thought the medical team did a “fantastic job” dealing with the situation on last week’s show:

“No, I think our team does a fantastic job. I think they took care of me, right away when we all realized I was hurt. They got me out of there nice and safe, so it’s a contact sport, you know? Injuries are gonna happen and I think they’ve shown that they can handle those situations so yeah, I don’t think those safety concerns are validated, as somebody who’s kinda just lived through it. I’ve put my trust fully in our staff.”

Reynolds noted that the AEW medical team is of the belief that following his week off this week (last night’s Dynamite was filmed last week) he should be able to return to the ring:

“Yeah, so we have this week off so I’m just kind of resting up and then [when] we go back down, I have to go talk with [the] doctor and see, but he thinks I should be good to go. Yeah, it was definitely a scary moment but I feel pretty good and looking forward to being back in action.”
