The unsuccessful challenger to the Raw Women’s Championship at Hell in a Cell, Alexa Bliss, has reportedly been injured and replaced in the upcoming Mixed Match Challenge and WWE house shows.
Despite appearing on last night’s episode of Raw, WWE tweeted this announcement:
Due to an arm injury, @AlexaBliss_WWE is unable to compete on @WWE Mixed Match Challenge tonight. @BraunStrowman will now team up with @WWEEmberMoon for the Season 2 premiere. #WWEMMC pic.twitter.com/LUjyCIFwyZ

Apparently, Alexa complained of numbness in her left arm, and as such has received medical attention and will not be cleared to compete in tonight’s Mixed Match Challenge – where she was due to tag with Braun Strowman – or in house shows for this coming week. She will be replaced by Ember Moon as Strowman’s partner.

While this could be legitimate, it very much sounds like a work to further put over the power of Ronda Rousey’s arm bar, which Alexa tapped to on Sunday at Hell in a Cell. Let’s hope this is a work, as numbness in arms tends to be a sign pointing towards nerve damage from the neck and spine.
On top of that, considering Ember Moon is her replacement, this could also further their current storyline that was started last night, with Ember taking the fall giving Alexa a legitimate gripe, or with Ember being victorious, outshining Alexa.
Either way, if Alexa is legitimately injured, we wish her a speedy recovery.
