Alexa Bliss made her return during tonight’s pre-Backlash May 9 episode of WWE SmackDown in her home state of Ohio.
After over two years of inactivity, Alexa Bliss made a big return to WWE earlier this year in the women’s Royal Rumble match at the start of February.
However, her comeback was short lived as she was only involved in the Rumble, an Elimination Chamber qualifier, and the Chamber itself on March 1, before being absent for another couple of months.
This time, the absence was down to an injury to Bo Dallas of the Wyatt Sicks, as plans for Bliss to be involved with the Wyatts through WrestleMania had to be put on hold due to Dallas being out.
Reports emerged recently that Dallas has recovered, and it appears things are getting back on track as Bliss returned to action on WWE SmackDown tonight.
Bliss returned as the mystery tag team partner for Women’s United States Champion Zelina Vega in a match against Chelsea Green and Piper Niven.
Bliss and Vega picked up the win as Bliss pinned Green following her Sister Abigail DDT finishing move.
Later in the show, Alexa Bliss met up with Charlotte Flair in the parking lot after Flair had stormed out of the arena in anger after a “disrespectful” reception from the fans, with Bliss saying to her, “let’s chat”.
