Top WWE Star Says AEW Star Came Up With Their Famous Pose WWE

WWE star Alexa Bliss has revealed that a current AEW star came up with her famous championship pose.

Since arriving on the main roster, Bliss has held the Raw Women’s gold three times, the SmackDown Women’s Championship twice, and the WWE Women’s Tag Team Title on three occasions.

One of the most decorated wrestlers on WWE’s women’s roster, Bliss is familiar with holding championship belts, and even has her own signature belt pose, holding the gold beside her head.

Speaking with BT Sport, Bliss revealed that Buddy Matthews (fka WWE’s Buddy Murphy) first suggested for her to hold the gold this way.

Bliss said:

“So Murphy came up with that.

“Because I wore the tutus with the belt when I was doing the Harley Quinn thing, he was like ‘you should hold it like this’, so I was holding my belts and stuff like that.

“And so then once I won the title, I held the title like that, because I was thinking ‘what’s going to show the title plus show my face on camera and make (them) a close as possible?’

“So I was like ‘I’ll just hold it the way’ because like Murphy, whenever I did my Harley Quinn stuff, he was like ‘yeah you should come out with your tutu, hold it like this and the whole deal, and whip it down.’

“And so I kind of just changed into his idea to hold the title like that. It worked out because now I see people and they’ll be holding the title and I’m like ‘yeah!'”

Bliss was previously aligned with Matthews and Westin (Wesley) Blake on NXT prior to her WWE main roster call-up in 2016.

Bliss and Matthews were previously a couple, but ended their engagement in September 2018. The duo remain friends.
