A major update has emerged on a potential WWE return for Alexa Bliss, who has been out of action for over two months.
Bliss’ last match was the Elimination Chamber on March 1, after which there were reportedly plans for her to be involved with the Wyatt Sicks heading into WrestleMania.
However, an injury to Bo Dallas (Uncle Howdy) put those plans on hold and meant the Wyatts and Bliss remained off TV through Mania season, and the whole storyline was basically postponed.
In a big update, PWInsider Elite reports that Alexa Bliss is scheduled to be at tonight’s May 9 episode of SmackDown in Dayton, Ohio.
It’s unknown whether she’ll actually make an on-screen return, but she is set to be present at the venue for the show, and the report notes “she’s not there for no reason”.
Bliss and the Wyatt Sicks are all officially on the SmackDown brand after the Wyatts were moved there during the WWE “transfer window” earlier in the year.
Bliss was actually supposed to kick something off with the Wyatts in the early weeks of Raw on Netflix, but she had something of a contract standoff with the company that delayed her return.
That contract situation was sorted out at the last-minute before the Royal Rumble on February 1, where she made her return after being absent since the 2023 edition of the same event.
The only matches she’s had since her return have been the Rumble, an Elimination Chamber qualifier against Candice LeRae, and then the Chamber match itself.
We’ll keep you posted with any further updates on Alexa Bliss and all the news surrounding tonight’s WWE SmackDown.
