Alexa Bliss WWE Return Plans Scrapped

Alexa Bliss WWE Return Plans Scrapped WWE

Plans for Alexa Bliss’ much-anticipated return to WWE television has been scrapped according to a new report.

Last competing in WWE in January 2023, Alexa Bliss has been the subject of much speculation regarding a potential return to TV, especially with the 2025 Royal Rumble on the horizon.

Two weeks ago a report from WrestleVotes claimed that creative plans for Bliss’ return were underway, with the former five-time WWE Women’s Champion adding fuel to the fire via an interesting WWE related tease on social media.

While all signs seemed to be pointing towards Bliss returning to WWE TV soon, a new update from PWInsider Elite (via WrestlePurists) has now revealed that likely won’t be the case after all.

According to the report, WWE creative has now been told to put all plans for a Bliss return on hold “indefinitely”.

Original plans for Bliss’ return were reportedly for a return during the January 13 episode of WWE Raw in San Jose, CA, with an angle with The Wyatt Sicks pitched to take place on that show.

Instead WWE creative were told to drop all plans related to Bliss, with an announcement being made that The Wyatt Sicks had been moved to SmackDown during that episode.

All plans related to The Wyatt Sicks are now said to be independent of Bliss, with the group yet to make an appearance on Friday nights.

According to the report, Bliss was ready to make her return and the creative plans themselves were not the issue, with it instead being the company that stepped in to stop the plans.

The reason as to why is unclear, with PWInsider noting that one source had claimed it could be related to an issue with Bliss’ WWE contract, while others were unsure as to why plans were changed.

The belief within WWE is that Bliss still has time remaining on her existing deal with the company that she had prior to her absence in 2023, with the possibility that it was extended further as a result.

As of now Bliss is reportedly not factored into any creative plans, including any pitches for the WWE Royal Rumble, with the pivot in her direction said to not be a result of the company holding off on a return for the event.

We will provide updates on Bliss’ WWE return as/when more information becomes available.
