Alexa Bliss has officially returned to WWE during the 2025 women’s Royal Rumble match that kicked off tonight’s show.
Bliss had been absent from WWE since Royal Rumble 2023, when she took time away due to pregnancy.
More recently, Bliss was actually planned for a return on the January 13 episode of Raw, that ended up being canceled by WWE.
Alexa Bliss and WWE were reportedly at a contract standoff at that point, which led to the plans being pulled.
Bliss and her reps were reportedly pushing for her to sign a new contract with more money, perks, etc before her return. However, WWE wanted her to return under the terms of her existing deal, and the two sides ended up at a standstill with the return not happening at that point.
It seems there has at least been some kind of development, as she returned in tonight’s Rumble match, which was not the expectation among most people.
Bliss was eventually eliminated by Liv Morgan.
