All Elite Wrestling has announced the signings of four wrestlers. On the most recent episode of Being the Elite, the Young Bucks, Christopher Daniels, Cody and Kenny Omega all made decisions to bring in new talent.
Cody and Omega revealed their choice for The Librarian character as Leva Bates (F.K.A. Blue Pants). Matt Jackson and Daniels then made their choice for the character with Peter Avalon. Later in the episode, the Young Bucks presented a highlight reel of indie tag team The Private Party and announced that had signed with AEW.
Leva Bates is likely most remembered for her appearances in NXT as the enhancement talent known as Blue Pants. Following her departure from WWE, Bates has worked on the indies for promotions such as SHINE and SHIMMER. She now joins the AEW Women’s roster which is currently comprised of Brandi Rhodes, Nyla Rose, Kylie Rae, Britt Baker, Penelope Ford, Allie, Bea Priestley, Aja Kong, Hikaru Shida, Sadie Gibbs, and Yuka Sakazaki.
Where this signing becomes complicated is with the ongoing storyline with The Librarian character. The Elite have not been able to agree on who should fill the role and While Cody and Omega made their choice with Bates, Matt Jackson and Daniels chose indie wrestler Peter Avalon. Avalon has been wrestling since 2008 and has competed mostly for Bar Wrestling and previously PWG.
The Private Party is an indie tag team made up of wrestlers Marq Quen and Isiah Kassidy. The team formed in 2015 and they have compoted primarily in CZW and HOG. They now join an All Elite Wrestling tag team division which currently features the Young Bucks, the Lucha Bros., the Best Friends and SoCal Uncensored.
