Chris Jericho recently said during a Q&A that All Elite Wrestling had signed former WWE star Serena Deeb. Now, AEW themselves have officially announced the signing.
Deeb recently appeared on AEW Dynamite where she lost to NWA Women’s Champion Thunder Rosa. Evidently, she will now be joining the AEW women’s division.

It has been widely accepted that the AEW women’s division was in need of a boost. Both through their own faults and unfortunate circumstances, the women’s division has not been AEW’s area of strength. Now, they have another member to help build the division.
Deeb is likely best known for her stints in WWE. She was part of the Straightedge Society with CM Punk in 2010. While that tenure was not particularly long, she later competed in the 2017 Mae Young Classic. In the tournament, she defeated Vanessa Borne in the first round before losing to Piper Niven in the second round.
It remains to be seen what AEW will have her do but she now joins the likes of Tay Conti and Anna Jay as recent AEW signings. Judging by those two, maybe the Dark Order will try to recruit her.
