All Elite Wrestling To Host ‘Double Or Nothing’ Rally Next Week

All Elite Wrestling To Host ‘Double Or Nothing’ Rally Next Week

After months of speculation, it was finally confirmed yesterday that Cody and the Young Bucks had created a brand new wrestling promotion called All Elite Wrestling (AEW).

The announcement, made on the latest Being the Elite episode, also made reference to “Double or Nothing”, which is to be the brand’s first show.

Fans wanting to know more about the promotion now have a golden opportunity to do so, as there will be a rally on January 8 next week hosted by All Elite Wrestling in the parking lot at the West Club at the TIAA Bank Field (the home of the Jacksonville Jaguars).

The rally is to be live streamed from 5pm ET (10pm UK) so fans unable to attend the free event will be able to watch and find out what the new promotion will bring.

It’s important to note that WWE are taping SmackDown Live in Jacksonville on the same day as the rally – which was definitely not planned – so fans going to the show may want to pop to the rally to see what’s going on.

Despite no official date being announced, it is believed that “Double or Nothing” will take place at some point in the spring of 2019, with future shows to be announced. PWInsider reports that although no TV deal is in place, there are several offers from major broadcasters to host the show.

It is believed that AEW will target Tuesday nights for a weekly show, particularly with SmackDown Live moving to Friday nights following the FOX takeover in October 2019.

Below is the tweet announcing next week’s rally:

Cody and the Bucks shared a photo on Twitter of them signing their official AEW contracts, and will now be continuing the process of convincing other stars to join their ranks.
