Cody has spent the last few months saying he wants to win his father’s belt at ALL IN while champion Nick Aldis has been reluctant to accept until now. The match is the first championship match announced for the Bullet Club promoted show.
Cody recently reunited with Kenny Omega to reform the Bullet Club after a months-long “Bullet Club Civil War.” This came after Omega managed to defeat Cody to retain the IWGP Heavyweight Championship at the G1 Special in San Francisco.
Nick Aldis recently defeated Flip Gordon to retain the championship and ensure that he will be the titleholder at the time of ALL IN. Gordon has been desperately trying to get himself booked on the card for ALL IN but to no avail. As seen on recent episodes of Being the Elite, time is running out for Flip to find himself on the card for the show.
The announcement comes a day after it was revealed that Rey Mysterio, Fenix, and Bandido will face the Young Bucks and Kota Ibushi at the event. There are now four matches announced for the show, with the others being Joey Janela vs. Hangman Page and Kazuchika Okada vs. Marty Scurll.
