WWE All-Women’s PPV Announced!

WWE All-Women’s PPV Announced!

After days of speculation about what Stephanie McMahon’s historic announcement would be on Raw, WWE’s Chief Brand Officer arrived alongside her husband and father to declare the inaugural all-women’s pay-per-view event, Evolution.

In an emotional speech which seemed to have even Vince on the verge of tears, the ‘Billion Dollar Princess’ had this to say about the momentous happening:

“Because of all of you, men and women using your voices for change, we are able to provide the platform to show the world that women can do anything and be anything they want to be. Because of all of you, we are able to stand here and make another first-ever announcement. On October 28, over 50 women, then, now and forever, will participate in an event called Evolution, and that event – I am privileged to announce – will be the first-ever all-women’s pay-per-view.”

Triple H then chimed in:

“Three years ago, our fans demanded a change with the hashtag, #GiveDivasAChance, and an evolution started. Since that time, our female Superstars have over delivered in every opportunity presented to them, and I expect nothing different during our first-ever all-women’s pay-per-view event.”

Whilst fifty women seems a huge ask to cram onto on one show, the most exciting news coming out of this proclamation is that there will be championship matches from every brand including NXT UK. This could mean we will see the inaugural NXT UK Women’s Champion crowned at the event. It will also host the final of the second annual Mae Young Classic.

WWE Evolution will take place on October 28 from NYCB LIVE in New York City, New York and will stream live on the WWE Network. It will feature every female on the roster as well as legends. Tickets go on sale August 28.
