WWE tag team has started their own Twitch account.
In the fall of 2020, WWE made a decree to eliminate numerous third party deals and platforms for talent on the roster. This decision led to many stars being frustrated with many viewing this as a contributing factor to their desire to perform elsewhere.
In April 2022, a talent meeting took place that was held to notify wrestlers that they’d have the opportunity to expand their third-party platforms again.
Then in April 2023, it was revealed that WWE and Twitch reached an agreement to allow WWE stars back on Twitch with almost no restrictions.
On Friday, June 2, WWE Raw star Chad Gable took to Twitter to promote Alpha Academy’s new Twitch account. He tweeted:
Alpha Academy is looking to test their @Twitch stream for the first time today LIVE from THE SHAKK at 1:30 EST.
Come tell us what’s cool, what sucks, and how many people you SHOOSH’d today.
Who’s dropping by?
