Long-absent AEW star Andrade El Idolo has responded to a recent report that stated he rejected plans to appear on the May 10 AEW Dynamite.
The report from Fightful Select stated that the Mexican star was due to appear in a backstage segment similarly to Miro and Thunder Rosa, who appeared backstage to enter Tony Khan’s office, however, Andrade of course did not appear, and the report said that’s because Andrade didn’t want to do it.
Now, in response to this, the 33-year-old took to Twitter, retweeting a story on the matter of his rejection of the return, alongside the caption:
oh really!!! I don’t want to imagine what you will say behind my back!!!

Despite the report, Andrade is set to finally make his return to AEW on the brand new Collision show starting June 17.
The primetime Saturday night show will also feature other controversial AEW absentees such as the aforementioned Miro, Thunder Rosa and of course CM Punk.
Despite June 17 being the date of the first AEW Collision, it seems as if Andrade will in fact make his return to the ring just two days before then after over nine months out of action with a torn pectoral.
As well as his injury status, Andrade was the subject of much controversy prior to his absence due to a backstage altercation with fellow AEW star Sammy Guevara.
