Former WWE star Manuel Andrade has reacted to the announced lineup for this year’s Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal.
Instead of taking place at WrestleMania this year, the battle royal will happen on next week’s SmackDown the night before, which is being treated as a pre-show of sorts.
Upon seeing the lineup, Andrade tweeted (translated):
5 Latinos. Really !!!! Seriously !@AngelGarzaWwe @humberto_wwe @KalistoWWE @LuchadorLD @WWEGranMetalik I hope and one of you win. I hope and one of you takes the triumph.
Andrade competed in one Andre Battle Royal in his WWE career which was on the WrestleMania 35 pre-show in 2019.
The full 22-man lineup this year is as follows:
- Akira Tozawa
- Angel Garza
- Cedric Alexander
- Drew Gulak
- Gran Metalik
- Humberto Carrillo
- Jaxson Ryker
- Jey Uso
- King Corbin
- Lince Dorado

- Shinsuke Nakamura
Former WWE star Matt Cardona (Zack Ryder) also tweeted, saying he feels horrible for everyone who will be on the SmackDown before WrestleMania instead of WrestleMania itself.
Next week’s SmackDown will also include a Tag Team Championship four-way and some form of #1 contender match to decide who will challenge for the Women’s Tag Team Championship at WrestleMania proper.
