Andrade’s first WWE match following his move to the SmackDown brand in the 2024 WWE Draft has been announced.
Former AEW star Andrade El Idolo made his return to WWE as part of the 2024 WWE Royal Rumble match.
The former United States Champion has only competed in a handful of matches since his return to the company, including teaming with Rey Mysterio against Santos Escobar and Dominik Mysterio at WrestleMania 40.
Andrade was drafted to the SmackDown roster in the 2024 WWE Draft, with vignettes hyping his arrival to the blue brand since he was drafted.
Andrade’s next WWE match has now been announced however, and it’s not exactly where a lot of people would have been expecting to see El Idolo appear next.
On today’s episode of WWE Speed, Tommaso Ciampa was victorious over Ludwig Kaiser, advancing to the finals of the WWE Speed number one contender’s tournament.
Ciampa will face the winner of a match between Andrade and Karl Anderson, which will likely be taped at this Friday’s episode of SmackDown.
