The latest batch of WWE NXT releases took place earlier today (November 1), with five names from WWE’s developmental brand being let go.
The most notable name of the bunch was Bodhi Hayward, who was a regular on both NXT and Level Up as a member of Andre Chase University.
In recent weeks, Bodhi had been off the show, with Duke Hudson standing in as the exchange student for Chase U alongside Thea Hail and Mr Chase himself.
In light of his star pupil’s WWE departure, Chase took to Twitter to compliment Bodhi on his dedication to Chase U, and urged him to keep pushing forward.
He wrote:
I just want to publicly thank @bodhihaywardWWE for his dedication to #ChaseU.
I will always appreciate him being my first scholarship athlete, but more importantly I will always appreciate his friendship. Keep going
Bodhi’s last match on the show took place on the September 14 episode of NXT, where he and Andre Chase teamed to defeat Carmelo Hayes and Trick Williams in an upset victory.
The five names let go from WWE today were:
- Bodhi Hayward
- Sloane Jacobs
- Erica Yan
- Damaris Griffin
- Ru Feng
