Former Impact Wrestling tag champion Andrew Everett, 26, has left the promotion by mutual consent.
Everett took to Twitter to announce the news.
Hey guys, 1/2
Earlier today I was granted my release from IMPACT wrestling. I had great times with the company, and I'm grateful for the opportunities that I received while under contract. At this moment, I feel that I need to test the waters in free agency…

allowing myself find a new direction in my craft. It's exciting to see what awaits me in my career. Thank you for all your support, and again, thank you IMPACT Wrestling for bringing the Skywalker to a larger audience.

Everett was catapulted to prominence on the May 17 episode of Impact, when he and DJ Z toppled Scott Steiner and Eli Drake to win the Impact Tag Team Titles. They dropped the straps the following month to current champions LAX (Santana and Ortiz).
Since then, Everett and DJ Z have been used to put over newcomers the Desi Hit Squad, with the LAX-OGz rivalry taking center stage in the tag division.

There appears to be no bad blood on either side with the decision, Everett simply wants to spread his wings further afield. So the door is not closed on his return to the company in the future.
