Angelo Dawkins Opens Up On The Influence Of Vince McMahon & Triple H WWE

Angelo Dawkins of the Street Profits opened up on the influence of Vince McMahon and Triple H.

On July 22, Vince McMahon announced his retirement from WWE. On July 25, Stephanie McMahon and Nick Khan were officially named Co-CEOs, while Triple H resumed his duties as EVP of Talent Relations and took over head of creative for the company’s main roster.

Speaking on Busted Open Radio, Angelo Dawkins discussed the influence that Vince McMahon and Triple H have had on his career.

He said:

“I mean, Vince is an icon in this business, both entertainment and outside of WWE. Wish him nothing but the best. He’s always believed in me and [Montez Ford], especially. He’s always given us great advice and all that … We wish him nothing but the best.”

In regards to Triple H, Dawkins admitted that the Street Profits was the brainchild of The Game during their NXT days.

He said:

“Just him being able to give us advice and stuff like that, even when we were in ‘NXT’. Everybody could tell when we’re not being ourselves, and him and Vince always were able to tell like, ‘Hey, don’t be afraid to be you. You guys belong here. Y’all need to start acting like y’all belong here. Act like y’all run the place a little bit.’ … Even though Vince has gone and wish him nothing but the best, we got Triple H, and he’s gonna pick up and keep the ball rolling.”

The Street Profits will face The Usos for the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championships with WWE Hall of Famer Jeff Jarrett as special guest referee at this Saturday’s SummerSlam event.
