Samu Anoa’i, who wrestles as Lance Anoa’i, has shared his prediction for a potential Roman Reigns vs The Rock match.
It was reported in August that WWE plans to have The Rock make his in-ring return to face Roman Reigns in the main event of WrestleMania 39 in April, providing that The Rock’s schedule allows for his return.
Not only would the match have big WWE implications, the bout would also give the winner bragging rights within the Anoa’i wrestling family.
Speaking with Sportskeeda, Lance Anoa’i argued that WWE will make sure the match happens one way or another.
Believing that WWE’s Tribal Chief would walk away with the W, Lance said:
“That rumor or that dream match or whatever you want to call it has been in the ears of everybody for a long time.
“Whether it will come to (fruition) or not, who knows but knowing WWE, they’ll probably do whatever it takes to make it happen.
“I would pick Roman. I feel that he has the youth, the strength, and the time to dedicate to fans of the wrestling federation.”
Speculation about The Rock’s in-ring return were recently fuelled by reports claiming that the Hollywood star doesn’t have any projects lined up for early 2023, although another reason for this filming hiatus has potentially been revealed.
