This week on AEW: Dynamite, Darby Allin defeated Jimmy Havoc in singles action. As a result, Allin will now challenge Chris Jericho for the AEW World Championship next week on TV.
The match will be Jericho’s first defence of the title he won at All Out by defeating Hangman Adam Page.
However, it appears that the Allin vs. Jericho bout will not be only championship match on next week’s Dynamite show.
AEW has now confirmed that Riho will also be defending her AEW Women’s World Championship against Dr. Britt Baker on next week’s show.
.@riho_gtmv has her first #AEW Women’s World Championship defense in #AEWPhiladelphia next week against top contender @RealBrittBaker.
Will we see a new champion crowned?
Or a championship retained?#AEWDynamite— All Elite Wrestling (@AEW) October 11, 2019
On next week’s episode of NXT, we will see the in-ring return of Tommaso Ciampa and an exciting match between Damian Priest and Pete Dunne.
I would not be surprised to see WWE book some more big matches for next week’s NXT show after hearing of AEW’s plans.
