Shida is coming off a big win over Thunder Rosa at All Out from last month. Since then, she has aligned with Thunder Rosa to fight off the likes of Ivelisse and Diamante, although some very competitive vibes remain between the two.
Meanwhile, Big Swole finally put Britt Baker behind her at All Out, defeating her in a Tooth and Nail match. This was a cinematic match which took place in Baker’s dentist’s office. The two had been feuding for the majority of the Summer with Swole finally coming out on top. This will be Big Swole’s first shot at the AEW Women’s Championship.
This match now joins the other three title matches on the anniversary edition of AEW Dynamite. Cody will defend the TNT Championship against Orange Cassidy, FTR is defending the AEW World Tag Team Championship against Best Friends, and Jon Moxley is putting the AEW World Championship on the line against Lance Archer.
