Another Championship Match Announced For August 2 NXT 2.0

There were already two championship matches announced for tonight’s August 2 episode of NXT 2.0, but we can now make it three.

NXT North American Champion Carmelo Hayes tweeted during Raw:

Hayes became a two-time North American Champion by beating Cameron Grimes at In Your House on June 4, and has since retained in TV matches over Tony D’Angelo and Grayson Waller.

He’s also been defending at all the NXT house shows the past couple of months, retaining over Nathan Frazer, Solo Sikoa, Andre Chase, Ikemen Jiro & Wes Lee in a three-way, and most recently, Axiom.

The announced card for tonight’s NXT 2.0 is now as follows:

• Carmelo Hayes (c) vs. ??? – NXT North American Championship
• Brutus & Julius Creed (c) vs. Tony D’Angelo & Channing ‘Stacks’ Lorenzo – NXT Tag Team Championship
• Tatum Paxley & Ivy Nile vs. Katana Chance & Kayden Carter vs. Yulisa Leon & Valentina Feroz vs. Gigi Dolin & Jacy Jayne – NXT Women’s Tag Team Championship
• Solo Sikoa vs. Von Wagner – Falls Count Anywhere
• Mandy Rose vs. Sarray
• Bron Breakker (c) & JD McDonagh – ‘Summit’ ahead of their NXT Championship match at Heatwave.
