Another Claim Made Regarding Sasha Banks WWE Release WWE

It’s been over a month since both Sasha Banks and Naomi made the decision to walk out of WWE Raw just before the start of a taping, and we’re still not really any closer to understanding what has actually happened.

We know that Banks and Naomi walked out, and we’ve heard reports that it was due to creative unhappiness, but as to what has happened since then, it’s all been very murky.

Raj Giri was the first to report that Sasha Banks had been released by WWE two weeks ago, and since then a number of sources including WrestleVotes, have indicated that Giri’s report is accurate.

However, neither Banks nor WWE has made a public comment on the matter, and she is still listed on the WWE.com roster page as of this story being written.

There are also some other sources, including Dave Meltzer and Andrew Zarian, who have been unable to confirm Banks’ release, but have acknowledged that there is at least some smoke to the situation in the sense that Banks’ lawyers have been involved in talks with WWE.

Giri has now updated his original report with some more details on what supposedly went down with Banks’ reported release. He tweeted:

Here’s what I know about Sasha Banks. She was released on June 10th and it came from Erika Schreiber, VP of Business and Legal Affairs for Talent Relations.

As for why WWE has not said anything or removed her, the rumor is that leadership is trying to smooth things over

Unless everyone has been hoodwinked, it really does seem that Banks may indeed be gone from the company, but it could still be some time before we hear official confirmation from WWE or Sasha herself.

PWInsider reported yesterday that both Banks and Naomi were still on WWE’s internal roster list.
